Spring Sports

first_imgFor most of the area schools the attention has turned to the Spring Sport schedule.  Only Greensburg and North Decatur had their basketball season extended.  As you drive by schools now, you will see baseball and softball teams hitting and fielding, the girls’ tennis team will be occupying the outdoor courts,  the golf team can be seen on a local golf course, and the track squads are busy getting their legs back in shape for their season. Not only are these teams outside, but in the next couple of weeks we will certainly see some of the spring flowers blooming.  Before long, the grass will turn from its winter brown to its fresh spring green.  Even though the wind may be blowing and it rains a lot, at least we know that the days will be getting warmer. It is certainly a time to rejuvenate yourself, and like the old saying goes. “get out and smell the roses”.last_img read more
