New Delhi: The GST Network Tuesday said businesses registered under GST can now compare the tax liability declared as well as input tax credit claimed in their final and summary sales returns forms. The GSTN, which handles the technology backbone for the new indirect tax, has provided a facility to the taxpayers to view and download a report on tax liability as declared in their form GSTR- 1 (final sales return) and as declared and paid in their return filed in form GSTR-3B (summary sales return). GSTN, in a statement said, since GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B are filed independent of each other, a need was felt to provide facility to view liability declared in both the forms at one place. The new facility enables the taxpayers to view these two liabilities in one table for each return period at one place, which can be compared. This will enable taxpayers to make good of any differences between the two forms filed by them on GST portal, GSTN said. Further, the GSTN has also provided taxpayers information regarding data of Input tax credit (ITC) as claimed in their form GSTR 3B and as accrued in form GSTR 2A, based on the return uploaded by the supplier. This will help them in taking corrective steps,” GSTN CEO Prakash Kumar said.
Mumbai: Actor-singer-songwriter Farhan Akhtar who has released his first solo music album titled ‘Echoes’, produced by Grammy Award-winning Italian producer Tommaso Colliva, says such collaborations are fruitful for creativity. Sharing his experience of working with an international producer who has worked with British band Muse and Mary Chain among others, Farhan said: “Working with Tommaso was really amazing because his approach was quite different. He wanted to know the story behind each song, and what was my frame of mind when I was writing them.” “The atmosphere was so conducive that as a singer-songwriter I felt really excited to work on it. He wanted to do the production and sound following those written words. It really added value to the album. It was a great learning experience.” Asked if he would like to use the experience to contribute to the independent music scenario in India, where Bollywood music mostly overshadows it, Farhan said: “We are doing a lot of stuff through our movies. If you look at the recent example of Gully Boy, we have encouraged musicians from the underground scene. I would love to support and encourage young talent, but look, this is not my full-time job.” Farhan will be seen opposite Priyanka Chopra Jonas in “The Sky Is Pink”, which will release in October.

Let’s talk about the great match that Cristiano Ronaldo had this Saturday against Napoli, he didn’t score a goal but was Juventus’ man of the match. After a rocky start on his new spell for Juventus in Serie A, Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo finally felt like himself during this Saturday’s match against Napoli and he didn’t even feel the need to score a goal. It was the most crucial match of the month for the Italian giants, they were going to clash against the one club that could virtually threaten them on their intentions to win the eighth consecutive Serie A title.Napoli was coming in great shape with their new manager Carlo Ancelotti completely killing it since the start of the competition, but Juventus now has Cristiano Ronaldo and this was the perfect day for him to prove that he really came to give his best in order to keep enlarging his already astronomical legend in world football. The match began with a complicated setback for the Vecchia Signora as Dries Mertens opened the scoreline during the first half after a Jose Callejon assist, Juventus needed to come back from behind in order to get those three points and Cristiano was fortunately having an inspiring day. He was playing his best football coming from both sides of the field, Massimiliano Allegri already reckoned that Ronaldo is reaching that sweet spot and he gave him a free pass to roam all around the field.📹 Re-live tonight’s #JuveNapoli win 🔛 #JuventusTV ➡️ https://t.co/w0hFSIAFZD 💪 pic.twitter.com/9RJwqkCuZr— JuventusFC (@juventusfcen) September 29, 2018Cristiano started with a bang during the first half by responding to Napoli’s opener with an excellent cross to Mario Mandzukic’s head, the Croatian striker was perfectly positioned for that clinical assist from the Portuguese player and Juventus started cruising from that moment forward. Before halftime, Cristiano was very close to scoring his goal from a free kick that the goalkeeper could barely reject and the other Juventus players didn’t get there in time to score on the rebound. But the best from Ronaldo was saved for the second half, which was when he really did unleash his best football and Carlo Ancelotti wasn’t able to come up with a plan to stop him. Suddenly after the break, the Napoli players realized that Cristiano Ronaldo was being multiplied as he appeared absolutely everywhere on the field in almost every single play.It was only a matter of time before Juventus would get ahead in the scoreline as they were virtually the only team on the pitch during the second half, all thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s stellar performance. This was officially the game in which Italy welcomed the best version of the Portuguese player, and he didn’t even need to score a goal.Juventus confirm Mario Mandzukic could leave this month Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Sporting director Fabio Paratici confirmed reports that Mario Mandzukic could leave Juventus for a move to an unnamed Qatari team.Playing a part in all 3️⃣ goals tonight 🔥🔥🔥#CR7JUVE 👏👏 #ForzaJuve ⚪️⚫️ #JuveNapoli pic.twitter.com/gzMgTmZxIp— JuventusFC (@juventusfcen) September 29, 2018The next big moment in the second half came as Paulo Dybala attempted to take a ball in the final third but got on Ronaldo’s path, he left the ball to the Portuguese forward and Cristiano released a potent long-range strike that hit the post and rebounded. Fortunately for Juventus during that play, Mandzukic and his killer instinct were very close to the goalkeeper and he just needed to get in there to push the ball in for his second of the night thanks to the number ‘7’ once again.Near the end of the match, there was a corner kick that Cristiano managed to connect with his head, but the strike was going outside and Leonardo Bonucci was forced to intervene to make the goal count. Just like that, Cristiano Ronaldo was directly involved in all of Juventus’ three goals with an assist on each of them but he only intended to do that on the first goal. The other two assists will count as such but Ronaldo really attempted to score, only he wasn’t lucky enough to do so.Either way, Cristiano was very happy with the result and mostly with his influence in what is the most important game of the season for Juventus so far. Juve goes six points clear of Napoli with this result, all thanks to Ronaldo.Which of Juventus’ goals did you like the most against Napoli? Manchester City’s hopes of winning an unprecedented quadruple may be scuttled by Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to Matt Doherty who believes they can win the FA Cup.The FA Cup title is the only domestic trophy eluding Pep Guardiola in England and the Spanish manager has set his sights on winning all the competitions. However, there is a well-tutored Nuno Espirito side who are punching well above their level this season.Nuno Espirito is a well known professed and renowned student of Jose Mourinho and has somewhat masterminded the downfall of the big teams this campaign with a brand of football that is reminiscent of Mourinho in his Porto days.Wolves went on to make a huge statement of intent in the Cup by dumping favourites Manchester United. And Doherty sees no reason why they should not lift the trophy to cap a remarkable campaign.Premier League Betting: Match-day 5 Stuart Heath – September 14, 2019 Going into the Premier League’s match-day five with a gap already beginning to form at the top of the league. I know they’ll be favourites, but we have drawn with them this season.“I know they beat us at the Etihad, but in the semi-final, it’s a 50-50, one-off, anything is possible and we have got a good team, so yes, we’re capable of doing it.”And as he prepares for Saturday’s opening Euro 2020 qualifier in Gibraltar, he has already set his sights on a big day at Wembley.WOLVERHAMPTON, ENGLAND – MARCH 16: Paul Pogba of Manchester United is challenged by Matt Doherty of Wolverhampton Wanderers during the FA Cup Quarter Final match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United at Molineux on March 16, 2019, in Wolverhampton, England. Recent statistics show that India has become an important market for Apple Inc. The tech company’s strategy of introducing equal monthly installments (EMI) and cash back schemes are behind the soaring sales of its smartphones which have risen by 300% to 400%.The Economic Times, quoting research analyst Sunil Thirumalai, reported that EMI schemes have helped raise the iPhone sale figure from what was previously just 70,000-80,000 smartphones a year.”From Our channel checks we believe that iPhone sales are nearing 400,000 units per month in India- that is nearly 3% share of a single top-end product in a market that has long been dominated by low-end feaure phones”, said the research analyst from Credit Suisse.According to publishing and conference company Informa, smartphone subscription in India rises by 52% year-on-year, a figure surpassed by Taiwan, and it is predicted to have 67 million smartphone subscribers by the end of the year. This growth pace will enable it to become the fifth major smartphone market after China, US, Japan and Brazil.A few months ago, the Cupertino-based Company rolled out its EMI scheme, by which potential iPhone customers could make partial payment and claim their iPhone 4 and 4S models and later remit the rest of the amount in six to 12 months, without any interest. “The 4-9% implicit discount coupled with the option of easy EMIs spread over 6-12 months became popular. Within a few months, our discussions with handset retailers indicated that iPhone sales went up 3-4x, forcing companies to respond,” said Thirumalai.Apple actually lowered the price of its premier product category for customers in India, adding an 18% discount by April on top of the earlier offer (nearly doing away with the down-payment), resulting in almost 23-27% discount on its product. Earlier in May, it started offering students an discount of $134 (₹7,777) on some of its iPhone models.Companies like Samsung, Nokia and Blackberry have also followed suit, exploring and stretching the Indian smartphone markets to the maximum. For its retail strategy, Apple had partnered with telecom operators in India, mainly Bharati Airtel and Aircel.
Campus placements have been on an all-time low for IT job seekers, but experts claim that the industry will generate at least 1.20 lakh jobs within a year. However, they also said that campus hiring will be reduced by 30 percent in 2013 as compared to last year.”Last year, the campus hiring numbers had dipped from the normal and this year, it is not going to be any different. We estimate that there will be around 1, 20,000 jobs created this year,” Rajeev Menon, Innovation and Product Development Head in MeritTrac, a talent assessment company, told PTI.The IT-ITES industry has witnessed a decline in the number of jobs ever since the economic recession gripped the West. But this year, the sector is optimistic and will hire a large number of suitable candidates from India.Nasscom estimates that the IT sector to grow by 12-14 percent this year. Ministry of Labour and Unemployement’s bi-annual survey conducted last year showed that the IT/BPO industry posted the highest record in generating jobs at 0.64 lakh in December 2012 over June 2012.IT companies have been dependent on campus placements to fill in their large-scale recruitment. But the campus hiring graph, though still on the positive side, has been on a decline since 2008 due to the global financial crunch.About 1.8 lakh IT graduates were placed last year, but the number is expected to fall by 30 percent this year.”Expectations from the campuses also have gone down as experienced resources are easily available at the similar price. So, the companies are preferring to hire from the market than going to campuses with larger reasons to drop in campus hiring,” GlobalHunt MD Sunil Goel said on the IT trend. The inconsistencies in business demand are not the only concern. There is still a rising number of Indian candidates searching for IT jobs. For instance, there were 365,000 graduates in the IT sector during 2005. In comparison, 1.3 million prospective candidates graduated last year.Certain service domains within the ambit of IT like social media, mobile banking and e-commerce have been showing consistent growth. Moreover, the IT industry was among the eight key sectors which increased employment generation by over nine percent last year in December over July 2012. IT giants like Microsoft (first) and IBM (fourth) still emerge as India’s most attractive employers, according to a survey by Randstad, an HR service firm.
